The images below should be very similar to the screens that appear during the download and setup process.  This process is extremely simple, and takes just a couple mouse clicks and about 10 seconds to complete.  Most firewall software will show a warning screen asking if you want to allow this program access to the internet.  You must select allow or permit when the firewall prompts you for the connection to go through.  If you are using Norton Internet Security and have the "personal firewall" turned on, the program will not prompt you and the connection WILL NOT WORK.  You must disable Norton Internet Security by "Right Clicking" on the green and blue globe in the task tray on the lower right of your screen and select the last option which is "disable".  When you are linked to our technician he will configure the Norton Internet Security Firewall to allow this program to access the internet and then enable internet security again.     You may get a security warning not shown here depending on firewall, security software, Operating system, or security settings in your browser.  You must click "ok or accept" to the security warnings for the software to work correctly.  If you have any concerns about the security warnings or any other part of the download/install process please chat with a technician who can explain the process.  Be assured the process is quite secure and the software will be completely removed by the technician when the service is complete.  NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR USERS WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE EXECUTABLE FILE TO THE COMPUTER AND RUN IT FROM THAT LOCATION.  Windows Explorer users can run the application directly without saving it to the computer.  If you are using another browser like Fire Fox you will need to modify these instructions accordingly

The above screens are only in Windows XP.  Select "RUN" for each window as it appears.

This is the first screen to appear  using Internet Explorer on all Windows operating systems except Windows XP.  Select "Open" on this screen.

Enter the password given to you after paying for your service, and then select "OK"

This box indicates the connection was successful.  The technician should take control of your machine within a minute or two.

If you see this message there is a problem with the connection process.  The most common cause is that your security software or firewall is blocking the remote connection program from accessing the Internet.  You may have received a popup during the above installation from the firewall or security software and you must "allow or permit" the program to access the internet.  Select to "always use this option" if that is a choice in your software.  If you are using Norton Internet Security just hold the mouse over the green and blue globe (pictured above) in the lower right corner of the screen by the clock.  Click the right mouse button and select "disable".  The technician will correctly configure internet security to allow the remote connection software to work, and then re-enable Norton Internet Security for you.  If you still can't connect use the chat with technician box or give us a call and we will be happy to help you setup the remote connection software.

When the technician has completed the service they will automatically remove the connection software that was installed on your computer.

NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR USERS CANNOT "OPEN OR RUN" THE SOFTWARE DIRECTLY FROM THE WEBSITE.  YOU MUST SAVE THE APPLICATION TO THE COMPUTER AND THEN RUN IT FROM AN ICON ON THE DESKOTOP.

Netscape users cannot run the program directly from the website.  Select the "save to disk" option and click "OK".

You can save the file to any location on your computer.  We recommend saving the file to the desktop so it will be easy to find.  After selecting the location and clicking on "Save" you should see a download complete window.  Close all the windows and go back to your desktop.  Double click on the file called tech1dsm.exe which has an icon with a picture of a white eagle on a black background.  Once you double click on the icon it will bring you to the password screen shown above, or to a security warning if you are using Windows XP also shown above.

***REMEMBER IF YOU GET ANY SECURITY WARNINGS DURING THE INSTALL PROCESS YOU MUST "PERMIT OR ALLOW" ACCESS.  IF YOU SELECT "BLOCK" THE FIREWALL OR SECURITY SOFTWARE WILL BLOCK THE REMOTE CONNECTION, AND OUR TECHNICIAN WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SHARE YOUR DESKTOP".  ALSO IF YOU ARE USING NORTON INTERNET SECURITY YOU MUST DISABLE IT TEMPORARILY WHILE MAKING THE CONNECTION.***
